Terms
The terms for using beibook. They are short on purpose. By using beibook you agree to them.
Last changed on 8 October 2026
What beibook is
beibook is a price book for a shop, shared with that shop's own team. It keeps the prices you put in it and shows them to the people you choose. It does not sell anything, take payments, or keep stock or accounts.
Your account
You sign in with a code sent to your email address, or with a link or QR code from your shop's owner. There is no password. Whoever can open your phone or your email can open your shop, so look after both. If a phone is lost, use “Sign out my other phones” in the menu, or ask the owner to remove it.
Your shop and your team
Whoever opens a shop is its owner. The owner decides who is in the team and what each person may do, and answers for the people they let in. A person who is removed loses the shop at once.
Your prices are yours
What you put in beibook belongs to you. We use it to run beibook for you, as the privacy page says, and for nothing else.
beibook shows the prices your team entered. Whether a price is right is for your shop to check. We do not answer for a sale made at a wrong price.
What it costs
beibook is free for now. If that changes, shop owners are told well before it does, and nobody is charged anything they have not agreed to.
Using it fairly
- Do not use beibook to break the law.
- Do not try to get into a shop that is not yours, or to find out what another shop keeps.
- Do not flood it, probe it, or use it in a way that spoils it for others.
- Do not put in it what you have no right to put there.
An account that does any of these may be limited or closed. Where we can, the shop's owner is told first.
What we cannot promise
We work to keep beibook running, and the database is copied to a second place as it changes. Even so, beibook is offered as it is. We cannot promise that it never stops or that nothing is ever lost, so keep your own record of anything you could not afford to lose.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for a loss that comes from using beibook or from not being able to use it.
Stopping
You can stop using beibook at any time, and ask for your account or your shop to be removed. If we ever stop offering beibook, shop owners are told well before, with time to copy their prices out.
If these terms change
The date at the top says when they last changed. Shop owners are told of a change that matters before it takes effect. Going on using beibook after that means you agree to it.
The law that applies
These terms are read under the laws of Tanzania.
